A Note From Jaime
Jan 15, 2010
I have been on the road pretty close to full time since September and arrived home late Christmas Eve. I want to wish you all a Happy New Year and hope your Christmas was full of blessing and peace.

I know it has been a very long time since I have written in and updated you on things and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your patience and support this year. It has been filled with amazing, hectic, exciting, fun and faith-building moments.

Looking back over the past year it is neat to see how God has guided and blessed this ministry and also allowed us to learn some very important lessons in the process.

As most of you know, we brought a manager on board who is helping us stay focused. Yay! Bob Morrison joined our team and has been a God-send to this ministry. What I like most about Bob is that it is ministry first with him (which is the way it should be). That is very hard to find in this music industry thing, but God brought Bob to us and we are so thankful to have him on board.

This year was a very special year which started off with a BANG! After years of trying to meet a person I have looked up to for many years...the dream finally came true...well half of the dream anyway. On January 13th I got to meet Celine Dion when she was here in Nashville, TN (Thank you Eddie and Paul). What an amazing woman. It was refreshing to meet and see that she, as well as everyone surrounding her, were real, down to earth, genuine, good people. I couldn't believe she was standing right there in front of me. Wow! I will never forget it. Never. I say only "half of the dream came true" because the other half will come true when I get to sing a duet with her. I trust you will all be keeping that in prayer. lol.

Then it was out of dream land and back to the work God has put before me. I was invited to sing at a "Rally For Life" in Lawrenceburg, TN where I got to share the new song "My Chance". Since January so much has happened with this song and I thank all of you for sharing it with friends and family, to help get the message out of how precious "life" really is. A HUGE thank you to the writers, Rick and JT, who sent this song to me. I am so blessed that you chose me to sing your song. "My Chance" won song of the year at the Indie Heaven Momentum Awards this year and we have had 31,395+ hits on the music video on YouTube for this song and I pray that it continues to touch hearts and save lives. This year was full of opportunities to sing at events promoting "life" and I am so thankful to those who invited me to share. May God continue to bless you and your organizations as you reach out, educate and love those around you who desperately need to hear the message of Life.

More excitement was added to the year when I received a call from Family Life International of New Zealand, who had heard "My Chance" and asked if I would like to be a part of their international conference this year. I told them that they would need to twist my arm a bit more...ha. It was my first trip out of the country and I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful place to visit. My husband rarely gets to go with me, because he is a youth minister, but I told him he had to come on this one and we had a blast! He actually booked speaking engagements and spoke more than I sang.. It was nice for me to be able to see him in action and doing what he does best (working and ministering to youth). The people there were so great and we now have new friends/family in New Zealand and hope to go back to visit soon. We had such a wonderful time there sharing and also sightseeing in the beautiful "Lord of the Rings" country. Yes, we were tourists. Yes, I looked like a tourist with my camera and video camera constantly out, and yes, we walked where Frodo walked. :) It was AWESOME!

Then I received another call, this time from Canada asking if I would be a part of their Fundraising Banquet to share "My Chance" as well as sing for the another fundraiser while I was there . So after never being out of the country, I was now going to see Canada too. Crazy! I was able to visit Niagara and also see the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Museum in Toronto. It was a great trip!

And if that wasn't enough, we were invited back to New Hope Christian Fellowship Church in Hawaii in December. So Pete got his wish this year and was able to spend some much needed time at the beach (his favorite place to be). The people of New Hope are always so kind to us and really show the Aloha spirit. Thank you to all of you who made us feel so at home while we were there. We met new friends this time in Ewa Beach where Pete spoke and I sang at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. We had such a great time visiting and getting to know everyone there. Great fellowship with a lot of laughs. They put us in a wonderful beach house while we were there.

Then to top it all off, Regi Stone invited me to River Crossing in Jackson Hole to do 3 nights of concerts with he and Dave Cleveland. I was honored to be a part of the event and to be able to sing with a real band since I usually travel with backing tracks. These guys are AMAZING musicians. Take a minute and check out their websites. I was wowed! www.registone.com and www.autumnrecords.com. An added bonus to this trip was that my family got to be a part of it. My mom, brother, sister and her family came up and spent the week with me there. We had a blast. Pete couldn't come so my mom and sister made a cardboard cutout of him (they also did this with my brothers girlfriend who couldn't be there). We took them almost everywhere with us. The looks on people's faces were priceless. Yes, we are a little weird, but we have fun! lol

Had you told me in January that all of this was going to happen this year, I wouldn't have believed you. When God asked me to focus part of this ministry on being a voice for the unborn, I honestly thought that the ministry and opportunities would suffer with it being such a 'controversial' subject. Well, it has been the complete opposite. I learned a lot this year and was reminded that God is much bigger than I give him credit. He has me covered. And if I ever lose sight of that, then all I have to do is look at this past year.

What to expect for 2010? Well, we are in the process of finishing production on a beautiful song called "Loves Work Is Never Done", written by the wonderful Joe Beck who also wrote "There's A Reason For The Rain" which is on the self-titled cd. He is a great writer and I am so blessed that he put this song on hold for me. I can't wait finish so all of you can hear it. I am also trying to spend some time writing songs myself. As most of you know, I don't write much, so this has been quite a task. Mostly because it's hard for me to just sit down long enough to finish a thought. But I am working on it, and I hope that you will be blessed by what comes out of this A.D.D. mind of mine. :) We’ve also been meeting with writers, producers and others to frame out a new recording for late 2010. God has provided for us so far and we are excited to see what doors He will open for us this year.

I'm also excited to share with you that we have been reviewing a new line of merchandise and have designs for Tee Shirts and other items for the future. Yay! A long time coming, but we're almost there.
I know that I'm missing things and there is more going on and I will do better to keep you updated. Hey, that could be my New Year's Resolution.

Oh yeah, I knew I was missing something. Check out my new video's on Youtube. I have uploaded about 10 more to my profile. Just search "Jaime Thietten" and they should all come up for you to enjoy.

Thank you to all of you who invited me to be a part of your year. Whether it was coming to your church or event, or putting me in your cd player, I feel blessed to be a part of your life and I am blessed that you are a part of mine.

May you be blessed as you continue to reach out and Love those around you.

This is going to be an AMAZING year for sure!

Love,

Jaime

Jaime, Hearing your story is a beautiful story. What I like most is your and Pete's "christian journeys" and your drive for "Pro Life". What a maracle "birth and then life is". You are very inspiring and I will share you with everyone. Keep up the good work!!
